Issue

On certain vehicles, a software problem may cause the daytime running lamps (DRLs) to not turn on.

Safety Risk

Daytime running lights that do not work could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions

Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the body control module (BCM) software.
