Issue
On small number vehicles, the passenger occupant detection system (ODS) may not work properly. This could cause the airbag system not to turn off the airbag when an infant or child seat is in the front passenger seat.
Safety Risk
An airbag that deploys in front of an infant or child can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions
None of the affected vehicles have been sold to retail customers. Hyundai will instruct dealers to replace the ODS module and recalibrate the system before the vehicles are sold.
