Issue

On certain scooters, the primary sheave nut in the clutch could loosen and fall off over time. If this happens, the engine could stall and you may not be able to restart it.

Safety Risk

A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions

Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your scooter to a dealer to replace the primary sheave nut and washer.
