Issue
On certain transit buses, the fuel filter hoses could separate from the fuel fitting. As a result, fuel could leak and cause a loss of power to the wheels.
Safety Risk
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A fuel leak can create the risk of a fire. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions
Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to replace the fuel hoses. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the repair performed at an authorized Cummins service center.
